24th October 2026 – 10:30am – 1:30pm
Where: Portobello, Dunedin
Price: $75
Duration: 3 hours

Step into a calming creative space and join me up in the trees of Portobello, Dunedin to create your own Tree of Life hanging or pendant.
This workshop is a chance to slow down, breathe, and let your hands craft something meaningful and entirely your own.
What to Expect

You will be taken step by step through the process of wire weaving. I will introduce you to the essential tools, demonstrate key techniques, and support you as you:
- Build and shape your own wire frame
- Create a unique Tree of Life design that reflects your style
- Explore different ways to emphasise roots, branches, or foliage
- Embellish it with beads and stones
This workshop is all about creativity and self-expression, so no two trees will ever look the same, reflecting our own personal journeys – how each twist and turn changes the course; each placement of a bead brings a new outcome.
In creating your Tree of Life you will experiment with the craft of wire, and at the same time we will celebrate our uniqueness and the beauty and balance within all living things.
I will be on hand throughout to offer help, encouragement, and personalised tips.
No experience is needed. Just a willingness to explore, relax, and trust the process.
Indulge your Inner Artist
All materials and tools will be provided, including:
- A selection of wires
- Gemstone chips, seed beads, and sparkling crystals
- Ribbons and strings for hanging
If you have your own meaningful bead, stone, or small keepsake, you’re welcome to bring it and weave it into your tree.
A Moment to Pause
Midway through our time together, we’ll take a break for a complimentary tea or coffee – a chance to rest your hands and connect with your environment and fellow makers.
An Intimate, Supportive Group
To keep the experience relaxed, attentive, and personal, the workshop is limited to eight people. This allows me to offer one-to-one guidance, ensuring you feel truly supported.
What You’ll Take Home
By the end of our session, you’ll leave with:
- Your finished Tree of Life, infused with your creativity
- New wire-weaving skills
- A sense of accomplishment
Tree of Life Symbology
The Tree of Life is an ancient symbol of strength, growth, and deep connection. Its roots reach deep into the earth, grounding us in stability, while its branches stretch toward the sky, reminding us to aspire and evolve. It’s a symbol of the interconnectedness of all the things, encompassed by the circle of life – the infinite dance of life and death.
